Typefill Privacy
Typefill never sends what you type anywhere.
What stays in your browser
- Everything you type on websites. Typefill watches for your shortcuts on the page itself and nothing about your typing leaves your computer.
- Your snippets. They're kept in your browser. If you turn on sync, your browser's own account sync (Google or Firefox) carries them to your other computers. They're never stored on a server of ours.
- What you last copied, if a snippet uses it, and text Typefill Pro reads from the page you're on. Both are used only to fill in that snippet, in that moment.
What Typefill Pro sends
Only if you have Pro:
- Your licence key, the email you bought it with, and a random ID for this browser go to the Typefill licence server, to check the licence and count how many browsers use it (up to 3). The server also keeps a name for each browser, like "Chrome on Windows", so you can tell them apart, and when each one last checked in.
- Google Sheets links in your snippets. When a Pro snippet reads a Google Sheet, your browser fetches that sheet from Google directly. It doesn't pass through us.
That's all. No typing, no snippets, no browsing history, no analytics.
Who sees the licence details
The licence server runs on Cloudflare in the EU and US. Only Typefill uses the details, only to run your licence, and they're never sold or shared. Ask and your licence details are deleted, which also ends the licence.
